Existing single-glazed windows were replaced
with white aluminium casement windows glazed with specialist insulating Georgian
units comprising security ("anti-bandit")
laminated low-E glass and toughened
safety glass. To replicate traditional small-pane effect, double-glazed
units incorporate white aluminium Georgian "Heritage" grilles on both
faces
and Duplex laybars
running parallel within the cavity. Eight of approximately 80 windows
were coach top/semi-headed in shape.
This project was completed to programme during winter
2001/2002. Micron have carried out similar window replacements at other
TA Centres in and around London.
